AGA Events | ATLart[04] Home | Highlights | Honorary Chair | Sponsors About ATLart[04] Presented by Delta Air Lines and The Coca-Cola Company Viewing Atlanta And The Visual Arts Under Different Circumstances January 14 - 31, 2004 The Atlanta Gallery Association (AGA) is pleased to present ATLart [04]. This citywide event will offer outstanding collaborative exhibitions, lectures, tours and special events from Atlanta’s leading art galleries and museums beginning January 14, 2004. Offerings will include Under Different Circumstances, a special exhibition held at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia’s (MoCA GA) exhibition The Georgia 7: seven emerging artists from the state of Georgia; a night of gallery openings, a lecture organized by the High Museum of Art, as well as artists’ receptions, press previews and a variety of alternative art exhibitions spanning a three-week period. The AGA, a non-profit, professional association of Atlanta art galleries, is dedicated to promoting the visual arts and expanding the reputation of Atlanta as the Cultural Capital of the South. Our goal is to establish Atlanta as a cultural destination by developing and advancing the visual arts. The AGA is comprised of 29 member galleries committed to the highest standards of fine art. The breadth of the work ranges from 18th Century through Contemporary, American, African, Latin American and European, painting, sculpture, photography, works on paper, glass and conceptual installations by regional, national and international artists.
